FAQ

Legs, stockings, calves, high heels… No faces ever ?
No. No faces within the scope of " A Paris, les élégantes." French law as I see it makes it impossible to publicize photographs taken in public places. That’s the reason why this site " les élégantes " was created in the first place.

Do you always ask your models permission to take their picture ?
No, never. I’d rather favour spontaneity and mouvement. Requesting permission from " les élégantes " would only, I gather, bring in self-conscious, clumsy postures and more often than not, refusal.

Are Les élégantes aware of your taking their pictures ?
Very rarely. I must say I try to be as unconspicuous as possible. Sometimes I get a conniving look from the model. A single look and all is said. I love it !

What if they look annoyed ?
I don’t push the matter. When it happens, I often realize that I am in a bad mood myself.Women sense it right away. So ? I don’t use my camera when my spirits are low…

Why don’t you select beautiful legs only ?
Because every woman is not a haute couture top-model and it’s better that way !

How do you proceed ?
For " A Paris, les élégantes ", I shoot with a digital camera.

Do you digitally touch up your photos ?
Yes but in a limited way. A little cleaning up and an occasional reframing, when I deem it necessary.

Does it make money ?
No, not a dime ! Right from the start I choose not to use ad.banners.

Are you an amateur or a professional photographer ?
Both. For more informations, refer to le_book.
